Accessing the Exchange Connector as a resource
When a resource is added to the Dime.Scheduler Exchange connector - by the administrator or automatically by the scheduled resource synchronization job - the system creates a user account for that resource. There are two user account types in the connector: administrators and resources. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see where this is going: resources will be assigned to a resource user account.
Such a user account is only able to access and modify his own synchronization preferences:
Resources can manage whether they will allow events in their calendar to synchronize back to Dime.Scheduler and if so, can specify which events based on the following metadata:
- Busy status, also known as the 'Show as' field in Outlook
- Sensitivity, also known as the 'Private' toggle button
Beware that administrators can always overwrite these settings when necessary in the resources page of the connector.
