Planning digest
The planning digest is currently in preview. Functionality and behavior may change between releases. Not recommended for production-critical workflows yet.
The planning digest emails a PDF of the schedule for a selected group of resourcesResourceAn entity that can carry out work - a person, vehicle, tool, or room - that you schedule on the planning board. on a recurring basis. It is the hands-off way to keep customers and team members informed: instead of asking people to open the app or check the agenda, the schedule lands in their inbox on a fixed cadence.
What recipients get​
Each digest is a PDF snapshot of the planning for the configured resources and date range, delivered by email. Recipients do not need a Dime.Scheduler account or a license - they only need to receive the email, which makes the digest a good fit for sharing schedules with customers and external stakeholders.
Configuration​
A planning digest is configured by an administrator. The available settings are:
- Frequency: how often emails are sent - daily, weekly, or monthly.
- Date range: the range of planning included in the PDF.
- Recipients: who receives the email.
- Resources: which resources are included in the PDF.
The system generates and sends the PDF automatically according to the schedule.
