Assembly Order

The Dime.Scheduler FastTrack solutionFastTrack solutionOne module of the Business Central or NAV connector that makes a kind of record plannable, such as service orders or production routing. The assembly order solution schedules the resources that build it and keeps the order’s dates in sync. and keep the order's dates in sync. Its key features are:

• Assign multiple resources on different dates and times to a single assembly order.

• Planning resources on an assembly order in Dime.Scheduler creates or updates the resource lines on that order.

• When resources are assigned, the starting, ending and due dates can be updated from the first and last planned taskPlanned taskAn appointment together with the resources assigned to it - the full picture of what will be done, by whom, and when.. For an assemble-to-order, the shipment date on the linked sales orderSales orderA Business Central sales document. The sales planning solution lets you schedule resources against its lines and keeps the dates on both sides in sync. line is updated to match.

• Create resource lines on the assembly order in NAV before sending it to Dime.Scheduler, and those lines become planned tasks in Dime.Scheduler so you can pre-assign resources.

Configuring assembly orders

• Select "Enable Assembly Order planning" to turn on the FastTrack solution.

• A planned task in Dime.Scheduler defaults to 1 hour when you drag and drop a task from open tasksOpen taskA task that has not been scheduled yet. It waits in the open task list to be placed on the planning board. onto a resource on the planning boardPlanning boardThe main graphical scheduling surface where dispatchers drag tasks onto resources across a timeline.. To use a different default, enter it in the "Default Duration Assembly Ord." field.

• Select "Update Dates" to update the starting, ending and due date on the assembly header from the first and last date of planned tasks in Dime.Scheduler. When "Update Dates" is selected and the assembly order is linked to a sales order (assemble-to-order), the shipment date on the corresponding sales line is updated too.

• Select "Send Resources with Order" to turn resource lines created on the assembly order in NAV into planned tasks in Dime.Scheduler when you send the order over.
