Deploy new instances
Dime.Scheduler is not just one big application, it is rather a set of smaller applications with their own responsibilities. For example, the Exchange connector is only concerned with sending messages to the calendars of the resources. This modular approach is reflected in the hosting of Dime.Scheduler.
Depending on the requirements, it may not be necessary to install all components. For example, the Exchange connector is not mandatory and can be left out if it is not desired. The installation procedure consists of the following steps:
|Deploy planning web application||📖||A running planning web application (with seed data).|
|Activate license||📖||A validated application that is now accessible to the users.|
|Deploy the service bus||📖||A connection between the planning application and the plugins will have been established.|
|Deploy the back office||📖||A one-way synchronization mechanism from Dime.Scheduler to the back office system (NAV, BC, ...).|
|Configure the identity service||📖||Administrators can log in to the back office web application.|
|Install the Exchange connector||📖||Appointments from Dime.Scheduler are automatically sent to Exchange.|
|Configure the back office system||📖||A one-way synchronization mechanism from to the back office system (NAV, BC, ...) to Dime.Scheduler.|
