Navigation: -> Links

What is a link

Links refer to the items that appear in the expanded navigation menu. Links provide users with helpful shortcuts to other applications and information. The links are URI's that can point to any website, web application, document on your network or document on a DMS like SharePoint, etc.

Links in the navigation

These items are managed in the links view:

Links setup view

This grid has three columns:

  • Name: the text to display.
  • Sequence: the sequence in which to show the link in the menu.
  • URI: the URI to refer to.

This grid has the same capabilities as the others. You can sort and filter items and obviously you can add and remove links.

Links versus action URIs

In contrast to an action URI, links are static and not contextual. They are good old links to other resources accessible via the interwebs.
