Einführung
Dime.Scheduler is a graphical planning and scheduling tool that can plan any type of task on any type of resource. A flexible user interface and a versatile platform to connect with almost any ERP, CRM or business application are just two of the corner stones. Dime.Scheduler is a modern, responsive web application with an intuitive user interface that provides a lot of flexibility towards users for personalization and towards application managers for configuration.
Who this guide is for
This site describes how to use Dime.Scheduler as a user and explains the administration and configuration aspects for the application manager or administrator. However, we strive to create a documentation system which can be consulted by everybody, whether that is a new user or a seasoned power user, an administrator or a partner who is in charge of executing the installation for his client.
How this guide is organized
When designing this guide, the following requirements were set:
- Scalable
- Easy to navigate
- Searchable
- Bookmarkable
- Minimalistic
Keeping in mind these arguments, we decided to split the documentation into the following areas:
- User manual with detailed descriptions of the application's features which users ought to know
- Administration manual which should guide administrators through the application's setup
- Installation manual with step-by-step guides for installing the software
- Developer manual that shows the possibilities to customize and integrate Dime.Scheduler
- Guides are step-by-step guides for common scenarios.
- Plugins with information about applications that integrate with Dime.Scheduler
In the next sections these areas will be explained in more depth so it removes all doubt on how this guide is organized.
How to navigate
This manual applies a pattern that is common in documentation systems. Every page will give you access to three - and in many cases four - navigation sections:
- The top menu will link you to the different manuals.
- The menu on the left hand side displays all the contents of the manual in which you are currently browsing
- The menu on the right hand side shows a list of the headings of the document you are currently browsing
- Many documents have a 'read more' section that contain related articles.
Above all that, you will notice a lot of inline cross-referencing. Some features may be related to others - which may not even be in the same manual.
What's next
In the following sections, we will go over the different chapters and what's included in them. If you already know how this website is organized, you can skip these and head straight for the chapters:
