Planning digest
The planning digest is currently in preview. Functionality and behavior may change between releases. Not recommended for production-critical workflows yet.
A field crew that drives in at 7 a.m. wants their day on paper before they leave the depot. A subcontractor who works for you twice a week wants tomorrow's stops emailed by close of business. A regional manager wants a Monday morning view of the week ahead. The planning digest is the simple, recurring way to deliver those views: pick a date range, pick the resources to include, pick who gets the email, and Dime.Scheduler emails a PDF on the schedule you set.
Configuring a digest
When you set up a digest, you tell Dime.Scheduler four things:
- Frequency - how often the email goes out (daily, weekly, or monthly).
- Date range - what window of planning to include in the PDF (e.g. "the next 7 days", "tomorrow only").
- Recipients - who receives the email. This does not have to be a Dime.Scheduler user, which is what makes this useful for subcontractors and field crews.
- Resources - which resources' schedules appear in the PDF.
The system generates and sends the PDF automatically on the configured schedule. Nothing further is required.
